Conference topics “Advanced Aircraft Efficiency in a Global Air Transport System”

AIRCRAFT DESIGN

  • Aircraft Performance
    • Aircraft configuration and loads management
    • Weight
    • Aerodynamic
    • Advanced Energy Management (Engine Specific Fuel Consumption, Electricity, Hydrogen…)
    • Energy and engine off-Takes
  • Cabin design for passenger e.g. being connected to the outside world and allowing additional ancillary revenues
  • Model Based System Engineering
  • Aircraft operations
    • Ground operations and handling
    • Maintenance
    • Flight operations
  • Certification

OPERATIONS

  • Optimization of aircraft operations including fleet optimisation
    • Airport, including regulation
    • Aircraft handling on ground
    • Airline operations
  • In addition the way an aircraft is maintained plays an important role in the efficiency.

SECURITY

  • Security can be seen as an overall enabler or major constraint for air transportation. As a result, an agile end-to-end approach is required going from design to operation.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & AVIATION INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Digital Revolution and its Impact Ground and Air Transportation
  • Enterprise 2.0
    • Design Engineering Revolution
    • Manufacturing
    • Air Traffic Management
    • Connectivity & Automation, Path Towards Autonomy
  • Fleet e-services e.g preventive maintenance, operation efficiency…

DOOR-TO-DOOR AIR MOBILITY

  • Personal air vehicle
    • Passengers dream of a step improvement in short distance door-to to door transportation, between home and airport or simply in urban environment, when ground transportation suffers from congestion. One possible new concept is Personal Air Vehicle, based upon the idea of moving car traffic into the third dimension, thus eliminating congestion or natural surface obstacles. This innovative concept obviously requires solving critical safety and operational issues.
